The Beast Who Cried Love

Once upon a time, there lived a boy named Zelo. He was so handsome that everyone in the town knew him because of his look. Even boys in the town also acknowledged his handsome face. It’s the type of face that you could never forget once you saw him. The other thing that was known from him was his attitude. He likes to mock other people’s appearance. He would yell at people and told them that they were ugly. His bad attitude grew stronger as he became more handsome every day.
Zelo liked a girl named Haru. They were bestfriends since they were a kid. Haru liked Zelo too, but she doesn’t want to accept his love because of his attitude. Zelo always gave her a rose everyday. And she always put that rose on a jar and kept it behind her window.
One day, they walked on the street with a bag full of fresh bread in their hands. Haru scolded Zelo because he, once again mock other people.
“How many times should I tell you to stop calling people ugly?” yelled Haru.
“What? He is really ugly! It’s not my fault that he is ugly. I’m just informing him so that he knew how his face looks like.”, said Zelo calmly.

“But that man is really kind! He wanted to give us free bread because you looks so handsome!”, said Haru. “Then why don’t he give us free bread instead of kicked us out?”. Zelo acted so innocently that it made Haru frustrated.
“It’s because you mock him! Why can’t you understand?”, said Haru loudly.
Suddenly, the bushes on the side of the road were shaking. Haru and Zelo stopped right where they were standing. The bushes were shaking violently. Haru held her breath when suddenly a boy came out from behind that bushes. That boy’s face was full of bruises. The best friends were kind of afraid seeing that boy’s pitiful appearance. Haru felt sympathy to that boy.
“Help… help…me…”, said the boy with a trembled voice. He got on his knee while holding on his head. His mouth was full of blood that made it hard to move his lips and talk.
“What happened to you?”, asked Haru. Her eyes were full of sympathy. She went closer to him and tried to wipe the blood that covered his eyes.
“J-just h-help…”. After saying that word, that boy then fainted. Haru shocked, as well as Zelo. Haru asked Zelo to carried that boy to Zelo’s house. But, Zelo refused.
“I don’t want to take ugly people into my house!”, said Zelo. His finger pointed at the boy’s full-of-bruises-face.
“But, he need help, Zelo! Please! Please, don’t act like that right now! This is serious!”, begged Haru. She looked at Zelo right on the eyes. But, Zelo still wouldn’t did it. So, Haru took the boy’s head and rested it on her lap. She pulled off her bandana and wipe out the blood all over the boy’s face with it. Zelo saw what she did. He snatched the bandana from her hand and tried to made her stand.
“You shouldn’t do that! You don’t have to help this ugly creature!”, yelled Zelo. Haru was furious. She can stand it no more. Zelo has stepped out of the line.
“Stop it, you heartless boy! Stop it! I don’t want to see you again! Go away! You’re just a heartless beast!”, Haru yelled loudly. Tears stroll down on her cheeks.
“Haru!”, Zelo stand there with an unbelieved expression. Haru’s words slapped him right on his face. He wanted to took Haru and apologized but his feet won’t move. So, Haru left him in silent.
Day by day, Zelo couldn’t live peacefully without Haru. He would walked around Haru’s house and peeked on her window to watch what she was doing. When he did that, he always saw a hardworking Haru tried to heal the poor boy who lied down on her bed. His heart was in pain. And then, he took a red rose from Haru’s backyard, put it in front of her house, and walked home with a sad heart.
The next day, the poor boy was healed. He was very handsome without bruises on his face. He turned out to be a wizard. Then he told Haru that he would fulfill her wish and made her happy. Haru wished for a garden full of flowers. But the wizard said that he would fulfilled her already wished wish. She was curious of that. And the wizard said that she only need to wait and then took a rose in front of her door.  The wizard said that she would be happy when she touched that rose.
Haru touched the rose and suddenly, a dark atmosphere filled the entire town. She looked around and found out that the dark atmosphere came from Zelo’s house. She ran there and found a weird creature curled up on the floor instead of Zelo. When that creature showed it’s form, Haru gasped. In front of her eyes was a beast wearing Zelo’s clothes. And when Haru realized that it was Zelo, her eyes were full of tears. The Beast roared and Haru hurriedly ran back to her house.
She asked the wizard about what just happened.
“You said that yourself. You said that he was just a heartless beast. And I made it true!” , said the wizard. “Now, his life only depend on this rose. He will gone right when the last part of the flower is gone.”
“No, please turn him into a human! I don’t wish him to be a real beast! Please!”, cried Haru.
“Then you must come with me, then I’ll turn him into a human again.”, said the wizard.
“Okay, I’ll do that. But let me say a farewell to him.”
Haru went to Zelo’s house and said her farewell. The Beast can only roared and started to broke anything around him when Haru left. The Beast was still Zelo. He has Zelo’s heart that loved Haru. So, he ran and went after her.
He met Haru and the wizard on the forest. He then tried to stop the wizard. The Wizard took out his wand and flicked it around. He yelled the death curse and flicked it to The Beast. Haru saw that and she ran to The Beast to protect him.
“No!” Haru jumped in front of The Beast and like that, the death curse went to Haru instead of the beast. This made The Beast furious. So, he jumped and clinged his paws to the wizard. He ripped the wizard with his sharp paw. And the wizard was instantly dead.
The beast picked Haru up and went to the nearest house. He put Haru on the garden full of frozen flower. He saw the rose he gave her on her hand and took it. He pecked her forehead and went inside the house. He put the rose on a jar and it shines so brightly. And then The Beast slept beside it.  He will never leave that rose until the last part of the rose fell, followed by his death, or maybe there would be a girl who would truly loved him and took the wizard’s curse off from him. And who knows his story might become a happy ending.

Enjoy!
